What's New at NEED
NEED's new Hydropower Curriculum and Kits are now available! Thanks to the support of the Hydropower Research Foundation and the National Hydropower Association, the new teacher and student guides, as well as the hands-on kits are in classrooms now!

The U.S. Department of Energy, Cooperative Extension, 4-H, and the National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges worked together to produce four energy modules for use in 4-H classroom, cooperative extension classrooms, and camps. The four modules - Light & Lighting, Heat & Heating, Energy of Motion, and Chemical Energy - are available in PDF. NEED produces the kits associated wtih the modules. Energy Managers and teachers asked and NEED listened.  The Energy Survey Teacher Guide and Student Guide were developed with school district energy management and building occupant education in mind.  These energy audit activities teach students about building science and energy management  - using survey and data collection tools. 
NEED’s Question Bank gives teachers the ability to customize evaluation tools for their energy units.
