Review goals and objectives for the workshop and begin planning ways to use the NEED materials and training in your school. \n9:00 a.m. Climate Web Game \nLearn about cause-and-effect relationships in our climate system and set the stage for the purpose of the day’s activities. \n9:30 a.m. The Science of Energy \nLearn more about the forms of energy and energy transformations through this hands-on kit. This Kit can be used in Primary\, Elementary\, Intermediate\, and Secondary classrooms! \n10:45 Energy Source Connections \nThis activity teaches how different energy sources contribute to the total energy consumption of the United States. This activity also demonstrates the advantages of working together in a group and reinforces the ideas of collaborative discussion and cooperative learning. \n11:30 a.m. Renewable Round Robin \nExplore a few quick\, hands-on renewable energy source activities that are easy to implement in the classroom with scrap and found supplies. \n12:30 p.m. Lunch and PPG Panel – Sustainability and Renewable Energy at PPG \n1:15 p.m. Conservation in the Round \n1:30 p.m. Energy House \nCreate a mini energy house to explore how architecture\, insulation\, and landscaping can all combine to minimize thermal energy transfer in a home. \n2:45 p.m. Carbon Cycle Simulation \nTake a closer look at how the carbon cycle works naturally. \n3:15 p.m. Wrap up & Paperwork \n3:30 p.m. Dismissal
