8:30 a.m. Program Overview and Expectations

8:45 a.m. Introduction to the Science of Energy
Students will get hands-on and learn more about the forms of energy and energy transformations that enable us to use energy throughout our day.

10:00 a.m. Forms & Sources and Candy Collector
These activities will help to introduce the renewable and nonrenewable energy sources we use for energy every day and connect them to the energy transformations that enable us to use them. Participants will enjoy Candy Collector and Forms and Sources of Energy activities.

11:00 a.m. Energy Careers Roundup
Career Roundup is a good activity to introduce careers in the industry. This activity divides a large group into twelve or fewer small groups.

11:30 a.m. Natural Gas Pipeline Push
Explore how pipelines move products through our nation’s pipeline system and the careers and opportunities in the field.

12:00 p.m. Lunch

12:45 p.m. Hand-on Energy Activities
• Solar – PV Cell Exploration
• Wind – Wind Can Do Work
• Efficiency & Conservation – Energy House

3:00 p.m. Innovation Challenge, Workshop Wrap Up paperwork
