9:15 a.m. Energy Roundup & Energy Enigma
Research, compare, and identify energy sources using evidence about their uses, availability, and environmental impacts while strengthening critical-thinking and communication skills.

10:15 a.m. Energy Web Game
Create a collaborative web to model how building systems interact and influence energy use, costs, and usability.

10:45 a.m. All About Electricity – Mission Possible
Investigate how the electric grid operates and use math to evaluate electricity sources and their environmental, economic, and social trade-offs.

11:30 a.m. Lunch and OPPD Discussion: Energy Efficiency in Nebraska

12:30 p.m. Energy Efficiency at School and Home
Use energy-monitoring tools to investigate building systems and measure plug loads, then analyze data to identify opportunities to reduce electricity use.

2:00 p.m. Renewables Roundup
Investigate renewable energy transformations and apply engineering design practices by testing wind’s ability to perform work and building an efficient solar oven.

3:00 p.m. Materials Selection and Evaluation
Select classroom materials and complete the workshop evaluation.
