8:00 a.m. Register, breakfast, and paperwork
Take a quick pre-workshop assessment and meet fellow attendees.

8:15 a.m. Welcome and Introduction to the PEEP 2.0 Program
Get a rundown on all PEEP offerings, learn about the curriculum, and play a fun energy game.

8:45 a.m. Forms of Energy and Energy Transformations
Explore the forms of energy and energy transformations while experimenting with the Science of Energy kit. Highlight ways to incorporate these activities in virtual and in-person classrooms.

10:15 a.m. Sources of Energy and the PA Energy and Electricity Picture
Learn about the nation’s energy resources as they are used to generate electricity and compare them to energy consumption in the Commonwealth. Activities include Candy Collector, Forms to Sources of Energy, and Electric Connections.

11:00 a.m. Nonrenewable Energy Activities
Get a quick glimpse into natural gas with Natural Gas Story and nuclear with Nuclear Fuel Rod Assembly Model activities for the classroom, and an overview of kit offerings.

12:00 p.m. Lunch

12:45 p.m. Renewable Energy Activities
Take a look and explore hands-on solar with Solar Bugs and Simple Solar Circuits with breadboards, hydropower with Moving Water Can Do Work, and wind with Build an Anemometer activities and kit offerings.

2:00 p.m. Energy Careers in the Round
Take a quick look at some great energy careers resources from NEED and beyond.

2:30 p.m. Climate Web Game
Don’t be a fly on the wall, get up and involved in this activity that will help to showcase how energy consumption and the environment are connected.

2:50 p.m. Wrap-Up, Act 48 Credit, Evaluation and Kit Request
