Since 2008, ConocoPhillips and NEED have partnered to provide teachers across the country with curriculum and training opportunities. We help teachers educate students on a wide range of topics including energy conservation and alternative energy sources.
To date, ConocoPhillips has reached well over 600,000 students through the program.
Thanks to the support of ConocoPhillips, there is no cost to attend. Breakfast and lunch are provided (for in-person workshops). Substitute reimbursement forms are available for workshop participants.

NEED Science of Energy (Available at Primary, Elementary, Intermediate, and Secondary Grade Levels)
Exploring Oil and Gas – Perforated Well, Core Sampling, and Exploring Density activities
Energy Games and Icebreakers – Entertaining activities to introduce energy, efficiency, and conservation to students
School Energy Inspectors – The Energy I Use Today and Conservation in the Round
Energy Enigma - This cooperative learning activity accesses language arts and critical thinking skills as students try to conceal their own energy source while guessing the opposing teams’ sources.
