Pacific Gas & Electric and the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project present the PG&E Powering Scholars Program. The Powering Scholars program is a two-week STEM focused energy and career experience. Students who are currently in 10th or 11th grade are eligible to apply.

Details:
When: July 20-31, 2026; 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. daily, Monday – Friday
Where: PG&E Headquarters, 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland, California
Who: California high school students within PG&E’s Service area. Students who are currently in the 10th or 11th grade (graduating class of 2027 and 2028). PG&E will accept up to 40 students.
Participants will receive an iPad and other great tools and resources to help power their academic and career path. This program is an in-person day program. No overnight accommodations are provided, and students are responsible for their own transportation to the office daily. Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to receive a stipend in the amount of $500.
