How do you, and your students, use energy and make
energy choices in your daily lives? Using NEED’s Today in
Energy lesson, explore how one’s energy choices compares
to classmates and how you can reduce your energy use.
11:30 a.m. Lunch and OPPD Discussion of Energy
Efficiency in Nebraska
12:30 p.m. Energy Efficiency at School and Home
Use the This Week in Energy Conservation prompts to create
energy efficiency skits. Then use the tools you’ll receive in
your Energy Efficiency kit to explore the building and the
Plugs Loads lesson to measure energy use of pluggable
devices at your school.
2:00 p.m. Renewables Round-up
Explore renewable energy with these two renewable focused
engineering and design activities! Wind Can Do Work and
Build a Solar Oven.
