8:30 a.m. Registration and Breakfast
Pick up materials and supplies. Continental breakfast will be served.

9:00 a.m. Welcome and Introductions
Review goals and objectives for the workshop. Complete a workshop pre- test. Meet your fellow participants and workshop sponsors by playing Energy Bingo!

9:30 a.m. Forms and Sources of Energy
Learn the basics of energy forms and transformations as a foundation for understanding how we generate and use a mix of energy sources to meet our needs.

10:45 a.m. Hands-on Energy Kit and Activities
Test out 2 classroom STEM energy kits from NEED: wind energy and solar energy. Select your favorite to be shipped to your classroom courtesy of Pacific Gas and Electric.

12:00 p.m. Lunch with Industry Leaders
Enjoy an informal lunch with energy industry experts and your fellow educators

1:15 p.m. The Grid of Things: Emerging Technologies and Career Pathways
Learn how smart grid, smart meters, smart appliances, and IT are working together to deliver cleaner, safer, and more reliable energy and opportunities for young people entering college programs and the workforce.

1:45 p.m. Energy Education and Career Workforce Programs
Help your students get a leg up in the energy industry with career exploration programs, energy curriculum, scholarships, hands-on training, internships and more.

2:45 p.m. Wrap-Up
Take a workshop post-test. Complete your kit order and stipend forms. Evaluate the program and make recommendations for future workshops and offerings.

3:00 p.m. Adjourn
