Students will work to research and develop a visual exhibit and make presentations to teach others about energy topics. The guide includes a general teacher’s guide to setting the stage for the project and presentations in both a paper and digital format. The guide also includes a rubric and/or guided research questions for each student or group to research, design their display, and prepare a presentation. Topics and guided questions cover the energy sources, electricity topics, transportation fuels and technologies, energy storage types, energy efficiency and conservation topics, impactful energy industry scientists, and careers in the energy industry. Energy Expos is a great introduction to any energy topic while reinforcing language arts, creative arts and soft skills, and is the perfect entry into NEED’s Kids Teaching Kids pedagogy.
