NEED Curriculum will Lead Students to an Earth Day for Learning

Earth Day is fast approaching, April 22nd! Are you still trying to get those core concepts in before testing? Don’t fret, NEED is here to help. This year’s Earth Day theme is “It’s Our Time to Lead”. NEED activities can help students learn core content and experience Earth Day. Here are a few suggestions from the NEED curriculum:

Talking Trash
Growth section from EnergyWorks
Today in Energy
Energy House
Using and Saving Energy
Understanding Climate Change
Mission Possible
Global Trading Game
Light Bulb Comparison (combines math with energy efficiency)
Energy Rock Performances (get music teachers involved)
Energy Expos (get art teachers involved)

Earth Day 2015, “It’s Our Time to Lead,” can open your student’s minds, learning core content and making a difference as to how they impact our planet. Make it a day for your students to lead. You’ll find the NEED activities at www.need.org under the Educator tab.
